INGREDIENTS & METHOD
In a bowl:
1) Add 2 tbps of bentonite clay
2) Add 4 tbps of water
3) Add 3 drops of tea tree essential oil
4) And mix!
5) Apply gently to your face avoiding the eye area.

Shea butter 1 cup
Coconut oil ½ cup
Almond oil ¼ cup
Your favourite scented essential oil 20 drops
A double boiler (or a pan you can heat hot water on and a glass bowl to put over it).
1. In a bowl over simmering water, add the 1 cup of shea butter, the ½ cup of coconut oil and stir.
2. Once it has completely melted add a ¼ cup of almond oil and 20 drops of your favourite scented essential oil.
3. Put the mixture in your fridge until it becomes solid and opaque and whip for 5 minutes with an electric whisker.
4. Place your mixture in a clean glass jar.
5. Apply all over your body, avoiding the eye area for soft and silky skin.

Uses
1. Use an old sheet of newspaper as a bin liner in small bins.
2. Or - you can use it as a bin itself. When you're done, simply crumple up the contents, and put them in your recycling bin or normal bin.

It's surprisingly quick and easy to make your own zero waste toothpaste. Just follow the simple steps below.
Baking Soda 4 TBSP
Alkaline, neutralises acidity in your mouth.
Non-toxic
Low abrasion.
2) Bentonite Clay 4 TBSP
Alkaline, neutralises acidity in your mouth.
Rich in minerals.
Low abrasion.
3) Xylitol 4 TBSP
Reduces bacteria that cause cavities.
Adds sweetness without the sugar!
4) Peppermint Essential Oil (optional, but recommended) 25 DROPS
To give you that minty fresh feeling!
5) Water 2 or 3 TBSP
To create the texture of a paste.
METHOD
1. Avoiding any metal utensils, stir all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Add the water.
3. Add the peppermint essential oil.
4. Add more or less water, depending on how thick you like your paste.
If you want to scale the recipe up or down, simply use equal parts of all dry ingredients, and add water and peppermint to your taste.

INGREDIENTS
1) 1 CUP OF OATS
2) 4 CUPS OF FILTERED WATER
Optional extras:
3) 1 tsp VANILLA ESSENCE
4) A DATE
5) A PINCH OF SALT
METHOD
1) Cover the oats in a bowl with tap water and let them soak for 15 minutes.
2) Sieve the oats, discarding the water, and rinse the oats thoroughly under the tap.
3) Add the oats, the optional ingredients, and 3 cups of filtered water to a high speed blender. Blend for 1-2 minutes.
4) Add up to a cup more water depending on your desired consistency.
5) Sieve the mixture through two sieves, TWICE, in order to remove any remaining solids. You should have a creamy liquid.
6) Transfer and store in a glass airtight container.
Store in the fridge for up to 6 days. But do not heat the mixture as it will turn gelatinous.
